It’s All About Me

I’m a graphic designer who likes well set type, appropriate use of white space, and swirly script fonts. I cringe when novels use a font without ligatures. Unintentionally misaligned graphic objects irk me. And sometimes, I do judge a book by it’s cover.

I’m slowly adding more completed projects to the Artwork link at the top of this page. Eventually, it will be a well organized section. But for now, it’s still a work in progress.

I’m not a photographer yet, just someone with a couple of cameras and a bit of knowledge. I like taking pictures of plants more than taking pictures of people because plants sit still longer for photos. I have a few more photos hanging out on Flickr than I do here. Some are of trips I’ve taken, some are of the fun I’ve had with yarn, and others are of silly things I’ve seen.

I like to knit and crochet. And with that, comes collecting yarn and patterns. Some of my completed projects and some of my not so completed projects can be found on Ravelry.

I also like collecting books and occasionally reading them. I usually flip-flop between fantasies (including, but not limited to, urban fantasy & steampunk) and mysteries (with a murder or two being a major part of the plot), with some nonfiction thrown in to remind me about the real world. If you are on Goodreads, come and find me!

  1. You need to feature some of your photography as well! You are talanted at more than just design and knitting!

  2. Oh, Mel! You’re so smart!! That didn’t even occur to me to post stuff like that here. Well, with the exception of making custom headers but that doesn’t really count.
